A Serious Credit Infringement is an adverse record on a credit report saying that an individual has done something which a reasonable person would consider indicates an intention to no longer comply with that individual's obligations in relation to consumer credit provided by a credit provider. Before being able to record a Serious Credit Infringement, the credit provider must have taken reasonable steps to contact the individual about the act without success and at least 6 months must have passed since the credit provider last had contact with the individual.
