Access Seeker

Definition of 'Access Seeker'

An Access Seeker is either an individual seeking their credit reporting information, or a person who is assisting the individual to do so and who is assisting the individual to deal with a credit reporting body (a Credit Reference Agency) and is authorised by the information to make a request under the Privacy Act 1988.

Individuals are not allowed to authorise a credit provider, mortgage insurer or a trade insurer to be an Access Seeker.
